Ladies AGM and Prizegiving

The Ladies held their AGM and Prizegiving on the 6th March 24. As usual it was a lovely event even though we had to make last minute arrangements and hold it at 10am.
The Committee explained the new system for paying membership fees to the Club instead of to TMActive and various other reports were read out. Jo Winkler gave her last Captains Report and will be handing over a cheque for the amazing sum of £4,556 for her charity Crossroads. So a big thank you to everyone for their generosity.
Jo has been an amazing Captain for the Ladies this year and has become very involved in the Club on the Management Committee.
Jo then handed over the Captainsy to our New Lady Captain, Lucy Langridge. Lucy explained that her charity this year is one very close to her heart and it is Hi Kent (Hi for hearing impaired). They run 200+ aftercare clinics for NHS hearing aids in towns, villages and communities throughout Kent. They also run lip reading classes for free in Kent, and many courses and classes, providing Deaf Awareness Training for front-line staff. They also organise social groups for people who share similar daily challenges.
I am sure we will all support Lucy's charity this year and wish her every success as our new Lady Captain.
The Ladies new Vice Captain is to be Melanie Thompson, so a big welcome to the Ladies Committee to Melanie.
