Charity Texas Scramble 6th January 2020

51 members of Poult Wood Golf Club took part in the Mixed Charity Texas Scramble on Monday 6th January 2020. We raised £327.80 for our Lady Captain, Sue Jelley's Charity this year which is Space2beme. Thank you to all those who came along to make this day successful and to all those who donated something towards the raffle. it is always fun and it is great to see so many new faces at these events. Thank you very much to Azra for some lovely jacket potatoes and to Mark Pierson for donating two carvery roast meals for two people to the raffle. The winners were: 1st Lynn Leigh, Jon King, Pat Miller and Roger Jones with a score of 53.2. 2nd Place - Patricia Sewell, Ron Sullivan, Marcus Lincoln and Alan Hodge with 54. 3rd Place - Ros Rodwell, Chris Hodges, Mark Pierson and Jim Sennett with 58.2 just beating Maureen Charles, Nick Gowlett, Tim Stone and Peter Hole who got 58.4. Most of the results were in the 58 and 59 region so it was a very close thing apart from the first two places who played very well as teams.
