Ladies Charity Mixed Texas Scramble 25th Jan 23

At long last the Ladies Mixed Charity Texas Scramble took place. Gill Miller's Charity this year is Together for Short Lives. This is Gill's last event for her year as Captain. Trolleys were allowed. 64 players took part and we had a two tee start which worked really well.
The Winners were:
1st - Carol Emery, Judy Roberts, Peter Hole and Steve Worsfold with 55 points
2nd - Lucy Langridge, Maureen Charles, Doug Church and John Lovett with 50 points
3rd - Jan Parfett, Lynne Franklin, Ron Sullivan and Clive Wakeman with 49 points

Very well done to them. Also a big thank you to all those who took part and contributed to the raffle with prizes and purchasing raffle tickets.
The raffle raised £433.10 plus a further £6 from Maureen Charles for selling some of her counting beads.
Thank you to Gill and Jo for organising it. Also thank you to Azra for the lovely sandwiches and chips which were very welcome on a cold day.
The course is going to look lovely in the spring and summer with all the work being done by Nick and his team.
