Mens Captains Day 2019

The day started a bit overcast but the mood was lightened by all the barracking for the Captains Drive off of the 1st tee, lots of guesses that the ball would end up in the woods, luckily the drive was straight if not a little higher than usual. We raised a respectable £75 for the British Heart Foundation, 2 guesses were extremely close but Peter Hole won the champagne which was kindly donated by Mark Pierson at Azra. The drive was 226 yards and Peter's guess was 231 yards. The rain did its best to ruin the final couple of groups and in particularly the final group putts which were severely affected by the flooded 18 green. Luckily the 3 putt on the last didn't cost John Devall the win for best nett. Our nearest the pin and longest drive were both won by one of our new members Peter Norman. We will surely see him competing for the main prizes next year.

Presidents Cup - Winner Nick Workman with Best Gross 72
Captains Salver - Winner John Devall with nett 67
Runner Up - Nick Workman with nett 68
3rd Place - Simon Anderson with nett 71
NTP 5th Hole - Winner Peter Norman
Longest Drive 11th Hole - Peter Norman
