On 8th September Keith Spurgeon held his Old Askean Golfing Society match. This is a friendly game which everyone at the golf club can participate in and Keith holds this competition twice a year. It was started by his friend Doug Feaver a fellow member of the Kent County Tennis Players, in around 1995. All tennis players over age 60 who played golf decided to start a golf challenge match and as time went by more people wanted to play in the match and so it has become something Keith has arranged ever since. All of the tennis players are Keith's friends and are all Old Askeans.
The results for the day which Keith had bought 6 prizes for:
1st - Gerry West 39 points
2nd - Marion West 37 points
3rd - Tony Martyn 36 points
4th - Brian Perris 35 polints
5th - Richard Thomson 33 on count back
6th - Tony Barden 33
