Due to Covid, Heather has kindly agreed to do all the organising of this match on her own this year here are her notes for those playing for the Trophy.

HAWTREE TROPHY 2021

COMPETITION INFORMATION

This is a Mixed Pairs aggregate Stableford competition. You play your own Stableford round using your Playing Handicap (see below). Scores for the pairs are added together after you have played.

As you are playing in the same group as your partner it cannot be a qualifying competition.

Men are playing from the White Tees and Ladies from the Red tees.

It is the first mixed competition that we are running under WHS and also the first mixed competition where you will not hand your cards in.

Therefore we are running this competition through ClubV1.

BEFORE THE GAME

Please sign in via HowDidiDo. Sign in opens at 7 a.m. on Friday 9th April through to 2p.m. on Tuesday 13th April. For those that cannot sign in via HowDidiDo, I will add your names manually after this time.

When you sign in please take a note of your PLAYING HANDICAP which will be shown on the screen. This will take into account the 95% playing allowance for Stablefords.

DURING THE GAME

Please keep your own card and mark your score and your opponents score - Lady keeps other ladies score and Gentleman keeps other gentleman's score. Please score using your PLAYING HANDICAP and pick up if you are out of points. If you did not keep a note of your Playing Handicap, then play to your Course Handicap and be aware that there may be a reduction of Stableford points when you enter your score.

AFTER THE GAME

Agree your scores with the player who you have been marking and enter your scores into HowDidiDo as soon as you possibly can, but before 4 p.m. If you cannot do this then please either send a photo of your card or details of your hole by hole score to me at ladiescomps@btinternet.com before 4 p.m. and I will add it manually.

Currently ClubV1 does not have the capabilities for Pairs competitions so, once I see the scores in ClubV1, I will add the pairs scores together to find the winner and publish the results on ClubBuzz and the notice board. I will also notify the winners.

GENERAL

If for any reason you cannot play please let me know as soon as possible so I can try and arrange a replacement.

It is planned that the bar will be open and drinks served outside from 12th April but  we will not all be able to gather for a prize giving. So there will only be the trophy to play for this year, and the fun of playing again!
